Perfect Pairings
Here are some of our personal favorites:Fleur Bleu Zinfandel with baked Brie topped with Robert's Reserve Roasted Pineapple Habanero Dip - yummy!
Fleur Bleu Tempranillo with Paella (seafood or sausage - or combo) - it's all good!
At a recent Bella Terra Tasting & Pairing we served
Sunfish Chardonnay (2008) with Pumpkin Spice soup from Costco - WOW - thankful we bought extra!
Lumiere de Vie Sauvignon Blanc (2008) with Shrimp Ceviche - this wine pairs well with citrus and seafood, so the Ceviche was a perfect compliment
De Beaumont Red Meritage (2007) with Truffle/Duck pate from Trader Joe's - a smooth, earthy taste - perfect with this big red
(for non-pate fans - it was also most excellent with a sharp, slightly salty cheddar)
Fleur Bleu Muscat (2008) with a Shrimp & Pasta Salad from Southern Living - a mildly spicy, lemony dressing with a hint of mint - perfect with the slightly sweeter Muscat
(you can use any type of pasta you have on hand, optional to add avocado)
Talmage Cellars Merlot (2007) with a Beef & Mushroom Wild Rice Casserole - beef cooked in a dry red wine gave it a tender and smooth touch to balance with this earthy Merlot
